Creating a blueprint for smart spending

Budget is not a bad word. A budget gives you the ability to make informed spending decisions without guessing. It’s a way to help you organize your finances–it tells you what money comes in, what money goes out and where your money goes.

As a student, there’s a lot to keep track of, such as tuition, housing, books, food, travel expenses, credit card payments and other bills. It can be hard to keep your finances in order. Sometimes you may even make a mistake that can end up damaging your credit record. Budgeting can keep you from making mistakes as well as allow you to buy the things you want.
